Pastor Joe Kim sees a great need to mentor young adults and he aims to bring socio-economic revitalization to the community. His mission is to rebuild trust in the church through his ministry in Philadelphia.

His main goal is reaching locally by focusing on rebuilding trust between local families and the church. He does this by focusing on community building and discipleship, not only to benefit the community but to also rebuild trust in families and the church. His ministry also reaches families, singles, young adults and children with disabilities.

Coming to faith in 1995, he quickly got involved in ministry. Serving at various times in his life as a children’s director (his first love), choir director, and youth group director in places like Philadelphia, Atlanta, South Jersey, and Queens, New York.

Joe received his Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2008 and was ordained as a Teaching Elder in the EPC in 2015,

Married to his loving wife Emii since 2011, they have since welcomed two beautiful daughters, Norah (May 2015) and Naomi (Oct 2020). Emii is a photographer and is an Executive Administrator with The V3 Movement. She in particular is an advocate of special needs ministry as Norah is on the autism spectrum. It was Emii who taught Joe that Norah isn’t someone to apologize for getting in the way of ministry. Norah, and his family IS his ministry; a ministry from which all other ministry can flow.
